My Good Friend

Hey there! It's me again with another journal entry for English class. This week, I want to tell you all about my best friend in the whole wide world - Danny!

Danny and I have known each other since we were just little kids in pre-school. We instantly hit it off and became inseparable. Danny is the most loyal, caring, and fun-loving person I know. He's always there for me when I need a buddy to lean on. I'll never forget the time in 2nd grade when I fell off the monkey bars during recess and scraped up my knee really bad. I was crying so hard, but Danny ran over right away to make sure I was okay. He helped me limp to the nurse's office and waited with me until my parents came to pick me up. Danny even offered me his Batman bandaid to put on my owie! From that day on, I knew we would be best friends forever.

Another thing I love about Danny is how adventurous he is. We're always coming up with new games to play or exploring the woods behind his house searching for creature habitats. One time, we built this massive fort out of boxes and blankets in his basement. We played brave explorers for hours, pretending to discover lost civilizations and fight off hungry lions! Danny has such an incredible imagination that makes ordinary days feel extraordinarily exciting.

Danny is also wicked smart and great at academics.

Whenever I'm stuck on a tough math problem or can't figure out the reading assignment, Danny is the first person I go to for help. He has this way of explaining things that just clicks for me. I probably wouldn't be getting such good grades without Danny tutoring me all the time. He never makes me feel dumb either, which I really appreciate.

Most importantly though, Danny has the kindest heart of anyone I've ever met. He's always sticking up for the little guy and making sure no one gets bullied at school. Danny once stepped in when these mean older kids were picking on a kindergartener during lunch. He told them to back off and then stayed to make sure the little kid was okay. Danny walks the walk when it comes to being a great friend.

I feel incredibly lucky to have Danny in my life. We've made so many wonderful memories together over the years that I'll never forget. Playing superheroes in the backyard, acing our science fair project on ecosystems, dressing up for Halloween as detectives solving a mystery - the list goes on and on! I truly don't know what I'd do without my wacky, whip-smart, wonderful best friend by my side.

Danny is more than just a pal to me. He's like the brother I never had. We may drive each other crazy sometimes, but our bond is stronger than anything. I'll always be grateful for the day Danny and I became friends all those years ago. He's helped shaped me into the person I am today in more ways than he'll ever know. Wherever life takes us, near or far, I know Danny and I will be besties 'til the end!

My Good Friend

Hi diary! It's me again, writing about my bestest friend in the whole wide world. His name is Tommy and he's the funniest,

nicest, coolest kid I know. We've been super close since we were tiny babies in pre-school. Our moms are best friends too, so we've literally known each other forever!

I'll never forget the day I met Tommy. It was the first day of pre-school and I was really scared. I didn't know anybody and I missed my mom like crazy. But then this little blonde haired kid came over to me during free play time. He had a big goofy smile and was holding a toy fire truck. \"Hi, I'm Tommy! Wanna be friends?\" he said. From that moment on, we were inseparable! Tommy always knows how to make me laugh when I'm feeling sad or upset. Like this one time in second grade, I fell off the monkey bars during recess and scraped up my knee really bad. I was crying so hard because it stung and I thought I was gonna need stitches. But then Tommy came over and started making these hilarious faces and silly noises to cheer me up. Before I knew it, I was laughing so hard that I forgot all about my boo-boo!

We have SO much fun together. We both love playing soccer and video games. Every weekend we beg our parents to have a sleepover at one of our houses. We stay up late watching movies, pigging out on junk food, and pulling pranks on Tommy's big brother Jack. One of our favorite things to do is have belching

contests...which I always win because I can burp like a truck driver! BRRAAAAPPPP!

Even though we goof around a lot, Tommy is also really smart. He gets straight A's in every subject and is the best reader in our whole class. Whenever I'm stuck on a tough homework assignment, Tommy is the first person I ask for help. He's super good at explaining things in a way that's easy for me to understand. I don't know what I'd do without him!

Tommy isn't just book smart though, he's emotionally intelligent too. Like if I'm feeling down about something, he's really good at listening and giving advice. He never judges me or makes fun of me for having feelings. And if someone is mean to me or one of our other friends, Tommy is the first one to stand up to the bully. He's brave and loyal like that.

I'm so lucky to have an amazing friend like Tommy in my life. We've shared so many awesome memories together over the years, with many more to come I'm sure. From pre-school besties to hopefully college roommates one day! No matter what crazy adventures life throws our way, I know Tommy will always have my back. And I'll have his too. Best friends forever!

My Best Friend

Hi, my name is Jenny and I'm in 4th grade. Today I want to tell you all about my very best friend in the whole world - Amy! Amy and I have been friends since we were just little kids in preschool. We've been through so much together over the years and I can't imagine not having her as my bestie.

Amy is the same age as me, but she's a little bit taller. She has long brown hair that's always in a braid or ponytail, and pretty green eyes. My favorite thing about how Amy looks is all the freckles on her nose and cheeks. I think freckles are so cute! Amy's smile is also really big and bright which always makes me smile back at her.

Even though we're both girls, Amy and I have kind of different personalities in some ways. I can be a little bit shy sometimes, especially around people I don't know very well. But Amy is a total chatterbox! She loves talking to everyone and making new friends. Amy is definitely the more outgoing one between the two of us. But that's okay because it balances us out nicely.

Another way we're different is that I really like school and all my classes, but Amy doesn't like school that much. She says it's too boring and she'd rather be outside playing instead of sitting at a desk all day. I can understand that because I do get antsy having to sit still for so long too. School is still my favorite though because I love learning new things!

Our absolute favorite thing to do together is make up games and play pretend. We've been best friends for so long that we don't even have to really plan it out, we just naturally start pretending together. One minute we could be brave knights fighting a dragon, and the next we're world-famous pop stars performing for thousands of fans! Our imaginations really get going when we play together.

We also both really love animals, so a lot of our

make-believe games involve being different animals or working at an animal shelter taking care of them. Amy's dream is to be a veterinarian when she grows up to help sick pets. I haven't decided what I want to be yet, but I'm leaning towards being a teacher or maybe even an author since I love books so much. Speaking of books, something else we like doing together is having reading sleepovers. One of us will pick out a brand new book we've never read before, then we'll get in our pajamas and

take turns reading chapters out loud to each other. We'll read until we can't keep our eyes open anymore, then pick it back up the next day. Our reading sleepovers are so much fun!

What I love most about having Amy as my bestie is that we can 100% be ourselves around each other with zero judgment. We're weird together, we're goofy together, we can get excited over the silliest things and the other one will never make fun. We just let our personalities shine because we know the other person accepts us exactly how we are. True friends don't have to pretend to be someone else.

Amy has been my closest friend for as long as I can

remember, and I'm so grateful to have her in my life. We've made so many wonderful memories together already, with millions more still to come as we grow up. I feel so lucky that out of all the people in the world, I get to have Amy as my number one bestie. Here's to many more years of friendship and fun!

My Good Friend

Hi journal! It's me again, writing about something fun that happened this week. I want to tell you all about my really good friend Jenny. Jenny is the best friend a kid could ask for!

Jenny and I met in 2nd grade when her family moved to our neighborhood. On her first day at our school, she was the new kid in our class. I remember she looked a little nervous, probably because she didn't know anyone yet. Well, I decided I was going to be her friend right away!

During recess that day, I walked up to Jenny who was standing all by herself on the playground. \"Hi, I'm Tom!\" I said with a big smile. \"Do you want to play tetherball with me?\" Jenny smiled back and said yes. We ended up playing tetherball together every day after that. We had so much fun!

Soon Jenny and I became best buds. We've been inseparable ever since 2nd grade. We do everything together - play games at

recess, eat lunch together, work on projects for class, you name it. We always have a blast no matter what we're doing.

One of my favorite things about Jenny is how funny she is. She's always cracking jokes and making me and our other friends laugh until our bellies hurt. Like last week, Jenny told this hilarious joke about a chicken walking into a library. I won't ruin the punchline for you, but let's just say I nearly spit out my milk from laughing so hard! Jenny really knows how to bring the laughs.

Another thing I love about my friend Jenny is that she's crazy smart. She gets good grades on all her assignments and tests. Jenny is always willing to help me out when I'm having trouble with my homework too. Whenever I don't understand something, she explains it in a way that makes it all click. I'm so lucky to have such a brilliant friend to learn from!

But academics aren't all that matter - Jenny is an awesome athlete as well. She's a starting player on our school's soccer team. I've seen her score so many goals and make incredible plays. Jenny is crazy talented! She's also a great basketball and softball player. Whenever we play sports together at recess, I'm always amazed by her skills. I bet Jenny could go pro one day if she wanted!

More than anything, Jenny is just a really good person deep down. She's kind, caring, and a true friend. Like when my dog Buster ran away last year, Jenny helped me put up \"Lost Dog\" posters all over the neighborhood until we finally found him. Or when I failed my math test, instead of making fun of me, she encouraged me and even volunteered to be my tutor. Those are just a couple examples of how sweet and supportive she is. I can always count on Jenny.

I feel so grateful and lucky to have such an awesome friend like Jenny in my life. We've created so many fun memories together over the years that I'll never forget. Like the times we've had sleepovers, went to the beach with our families, or just hung out at each other's houses. Every moment I spend with my pal Jenny is the best!

Sometimes I imagine what life would be like if Jenny and I never became friends. It would be so lonely and boring without her. I can't picture my life without her in it to be honest. My favorite person in the whole world is Jenny - hands down, no question!

My Good Friend

Hey Journal! It's me again, writing about my week. This week I want to tell you all about my best friend Jenny. Jenny is super cool and we have so much fun together!

Jenny and I met in kindergarten and we've been besties ever since. I remember the first day I saw her - she was wearing a cute pink dress with flowers on it and had these really pretty pigtails. I thought she looked so nice. During recess, we started playing on the swings together and talking about our favorite TV shows and foods. Jenny loved pizza just like me, and we both thought the classic cartoon \"Tom and Jerry\" was hilarious! From that day on, we became inseparable.

Now we're in 4th grade and still just as close as ever. Jenny lives just down the street from me, so we get to hang out all the time. Almost every day after school, I go over to her house or she comes to mine. Her mom makes the yummiest chocolate chip cookies - they're my favorite! We love playing outside, jumping on the trampoline, or just chilling inside watching movies and doing each other's hair and nails. Jenny is seriously the best at braiding.

But you know what's really great about Jenny? She's not just fun to be around, she's also a really good friend. Like this one time last year, I was feeling really sad because I didn't do well on a spelling test. Jenny could tell I was upset, so she made me a nice card with a funny joke inside to cheer me up. It totally

worked and made me feel so much better! Jenny always knows how to make me smile when I'm down.

And I try my best to be a great friend to her too. A few months ago, Jenny's dog Buddy ran away from home. She was so worried and crying a lot. I stayed by her side and we walked around the neighborhood for hours, shaking Buddy's favorite treats and calling his name until we finally found him! Jenny gave me the biggest hug when Buddy came running over to us. I was just so happy we got her pup back safe.

Another thing I love about Jenny is how we can just be our total silly selves together without judging each other. We both love pulling funny faces, doing imitations of our teachers or reality TV stars, and just being flat out goofy. We'll spend hours cracking up over the most random things. Like this one time, we were laughing so hard over a video of a sneezing panda that we both accidentally spit out the lemonade we were drinking! We looked like such goofballs but it was hilarious.

Speaking of being silly, Jenny and I have the best time coming up with cool secret handshakes. We must have made at least 20 different ones by now, each one more elaborate than the last. We'll randomly bust them out in the halls at school which

probably looks super weird to everyone else but makes total sense to us. That's just how we joke around!

Of course, we don't just goof off all the time. We also work really hard on our schoolwork together too. Having a study buddy is so helpful, especially for tricky subjects like math. Whenever one of us gets stuck on a homework problem, we'll call each other and work through it side-by-side until we get it figured out. I'm better at certain things and Jenny's better at others, so we make a great team. Our classmates are always commenting on how we're the \"smart duo!\"

You know, now that I think about it, that's what really makes Jenny such an awesome friend. We just go so well together in every way - we can be completely silly and have a blast, but we can also knuckle down and help each other out academically. Whether we're laughing our heads off or hitting the books hard, I cherish all the fun and special times with my bestie. Jenny is caring, kind, supportive, and simply the coolest girl I know. I feel so lucky to have her as my ride-or-die BFF. We've already planned our ultimate BFF sleepover party for this weekend - I just can't wait! It's going to be epic.
